Polina Ellina is a Lecturer in Data Analytics in Accounting and Finance at the European University of Cyprus (EUC) in Nicosia since September 2025. She also served as a Lecturer in Finance at the American University of Cyprus (AUCY) in Larnaca for four years and as a Special Scientist at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) from 2016 to 2025. She worked as a Quantitative Analyst, applying advanced analytical models to understand the dynamics of financial markets and asset performance.
She obtained her PhD in Computational Finance from the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT). She also holds an MSc in Shipping and Finance from CUT and a BSc in Mathematics from University of Patras in Greece. Her research focuses on Behavioral Finance, Financial Econometrics, Risk-Return Modelling, and the Cryptocurrency market. She published her research in international journals such as Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting and serves as a reviewer for several journals.
