Dr. Marios Menexiadis is an economist with specialization in Internal Audit.
He serves as Visiting Professor at European University Cyprus at the MSc in Data Analytics and MSC’s in NKUA, Piraeus University, Patras University, Excelia France.
His research covers areas of auditing, controlling, compliance and corporate governance as well as risk management for higher education and distance learning. He is co-author of the book "Internal Audit" published by Rosili Publications and of the «Governance and Financial Performance – Current Trends and Perspectives», from World Scientific publications.
He holds a Post Doctorate research degree and a PhD degree in Internal Audit and Best Practices from NKUA, an MSc in Internal Audit from City University, a MAcc in International Accounting and Financial Management from Glasgow University and a postgraduate diploma in Compliance from Manchester Business School. He is a fellow CPA member and Vice Chairman of the Association of Certified Public Accountants International.
He is the Group Internal Audit Director and Data Protection Officer of Aegean Airlines. Prior to joining the aviation industry in 2009, he offered his services as Director of Internal Audit in the chemical as well as food and beverage industry, while his professional career started within the "Big 5" (Andersen & PwC).
He offers his expertise as Chairman of Audit Committees of BoDs and has been member of the Audit Committee of the Hellenic Institute of Internal Auditors.
